Mix'City - Renens

Mix'City is an eco-responsible project for a 7 floors mixed-use building including offices, shops, storage areas

and craft workshops. An urban farm and photovoltaic panels on the roof are combined to promote energy

sustainability. The project emphasises the use of local materials, re-use and the creation of spaces conducive

to social cohesion.

Technically, special works are required due to the presence of water and molasse, and the building façade is

composed of sandwich panels with wooden cladding. A metal roof structure is also planned to house the

photovoltaic panels, and wood is used for the façade cladding.
