Steiner's mandate as total (design-and-build) contractor consists in renovating two buildings dating from 1947 that currently comprise 60 apartments.

The project involves the refurbishment of the façades and interiors of both buildings. All of the kitchens and bathrooms must be fully renovated. The works also includes repainting all of the stairwells and communal hallways as well as certain sections of the apartments. In addition, all of the technical installations need to be brought into line with current standards.

In order to carry out this project, Steiner SA needs to take the buildings’ dense urban environment into account, necessitating extensive logistical planning. It also has to minimise noise and disruption since the construction works are carried out while the site remains occupied.

This renovation enables eight new attic apartments to be created. Both buildings also benefit from new outdoor spaces.
