Wohn- und Gewerbehaus Weystrasse - Luzern

Steiner was entrusted with the comprehensive modernisation of an existing residential and commercial building. The building occupies a historic site near Lucerne's Lion Monument and, at ground-floor level, houses the city's reputed confectionery Heini. Even during site establishment, the spatial constraints imposed by the attached buildings on either side of the property to be refurbished necessitated planning and logistical fine-tuning.

A streamlined construction sequence, involving a minimum of noise disturbance, not only ensured that the general needs of tenants and neighbours were respected, but also prevented any disruption to the confectionery's production operations.
