Following a detailed preparatory phase, the Steiner Investment Foundation was founded today and entered in the Commercial Register. The foundation, which is headquartered in Zurich, will offer investment groups in the area of new residential constructions exclusively for Swiss occupational pension schemes.
Steiner AG, a company with tradition that has been active as a real estate developer and total and general contractor for more than a century, is the first Swiss construction service provider to launch an investment foundation. The foundation, which will operate as a tax-exempt occupational pension scheme, is subject to direct supervision by the Occupational Pension Supervisory Commission (OPSC).
This pioneering investment foundation will shortly be offering – in the form of its first investment group, Swiss Development Residential – an innovative and sustainable investment solution based on Swiss residential real estate projects from the extensive project portfolio of Steiner AG. The investors targeted with this investment group, namely Swiss occupational pension schemes, will therefore gain access to a future-oriented investment opportunity offering an attractive yield.
Organization and executive Management
The Board of Trustees of the new foundation comprises Ajay Sirohi as Chairman, Reto Niedermann as Deputy Chairman, and Urs Rüdin as Board Member.
