Foundation stone laid for Gupfengarten residential development in Niederweningen

Real estate developer Steiner AG, executing total contractor Eiffage Suisse AG and client Evostate Immobilien AG, along with architects and other project partners, today attended the laying of the foundation stone for the attractive Gupfengarten housing development. By the end of 2023, the easily accessible plot south of Niederweningen village centre will accommodate a total of 36 terraced single-family houses plus three residential blocks containing 21 apartments for sale to private owners.

The traditional ceremony marks the official launch of the building construction work of this family-friendly housing development in the Zurich Unterland region. Over the next few months, total (design-and-build) contractor Eiffage Suisse will construct high-quality, sought-after homes on behalf of Evostate Immobilien AG. The attractive and multifaceted project is a Steiner AG development. The gaily coloured architecture, designed in a vernacular style by Graf Biscioni Architekten AG, will imbue the scheme with a sympathetic quality and relaxed homely feel.

Attractive homes for residents of all ages
All terraced houses and apartments will enjoy ample sunshine and be fitted out to a contemporary domestic standard. The generously configured, easy-to-furnish floorplans are complemented by their own private outdoor area. The estate also includes a number of high-spec common and play areas, making for a relaxing environment where residents can socialise and children can safely play. With a population just short of 3,000, the municipality of Niederweningen offers a pleasant environment with a thriving village life. Thanks to its modern amenities, low income tax rates and good transport links, it is steadily evolving into one of the region's most popular residential locations.

Focus on sustainability
Virtually the entire thermal energy requirement of the Gupfengarten estate, which is equipped with heat pump, borehole heat exchanger and photovoltaic systems, will be met by renewable sources. An integral energy management system additionally ensures efficient and intelligent energy use. The timber-built external envelopes achieve optimum thermal insulation values. The use of wood as a carbon-neutral, naturally renewable raw material is a key element in the sustainability concept.

For further details of the few remaining available units, prospective buyers can visit the website at www.gupfengarten.ch  and use the innovative online apartment configurator to individually select the layout and interior fit-out of the desired terraced house or apartment.
