Steiner and Housing Europe are launching a new film on affordable housing

A new film produced for Steiner by BBC StoryWorks Commercial Productions, the commercial content division of BBC Global News, and presented by Housing Europe is available as of today. Find out how Steiner contributes to the creation of affordable housing in Switzerland. This category of housing helps families, couples and singles from various backgrounds by offering them quality accommodation at low prices.

The online film series, #BuildingCommunities, shows how European players are committed to creating affordable housing. This is especially true for Steiner, which has contributed to both the development of such projects as well as their realisation.  In Switzerland, Steiner boasts top references such as Haslirainpark (Buchrain), les Genêts (Geneva), Glasi-Quarter (Bülach) and mehr als wohnen (Zurich).

The film produced for Steiner by BBC StoryWorks Commercial Productions presents the values and way of life of the inhabitants of Zurich's "mehr als wohnen" district through the eyes of one family. The district is distinctive for its architectural concept, which promotes social interaction and its ecological ambitions which are compatible the vision of a 2000-watt society.

The clip also shows how Steiner has used the experience gleaned from the realisation of this district to develop one of the largest real estate projects in Switzerland today: the Glasi-Quarter. This extensive real estate project is currently under construction and will eventually offer a mix of affordable housing, condominiums and space for commercial activity.
