Today, the Terra et Casa Foundation, the project’s client, and Steiner SA, the total (design-and-build) contractor, celebrated the completion of the major structural works for the three buildings on Avenue Trembley, which have now reached their full height. This development is located in a heavily wooded private park of almost 5,000 m2 and features a geometric exterior design, premium quality finishings and high energy efficiency.
The Terra et Casa Foundation and Steiner SA invited the entire workforce involved in the project to a topping-out celebration in order to thank them for their efforts. The two parties are pleased with the good progress being made on the project, which is expected to be delivered in mid-2020.
A residential complex that promotes social diversity
Close to Geneva’s highly sought-after international district, Steiner SA is building a high-quality, sustainable residential complex on behalf of the Terra et Casa Foundation that consists of three buildings located at 6, 6A and 6B Avenue Trembley. This project, primarily aimed at people working for the international organisations, will provide 93 apartments with the following configuration:
Situated adjacent to the eponymous park, the Trembley-Parc residential complex has been designed as an extension of the green space. The entrance halls, living rooms and bedrooms boast oak flooring, while the kitchens feature granite worktops. The flooring of the common areas is made of terrazzo (a composite material consisting of natural stone and coloured marble mixed with cement).
Smart energy management
The buildings were designed to be energy-efficient and will feature optimization measures for the energy consumption. Accordingly, they will meet the requirements of the Minergie energy label and benefit from access to the district heating network.
The residents of the owner-occupied apartments will be able to monitor and adjust their energy consumption using a touchscreen display. Lastly, the smart home system with video surveillance ensures secure access to the buildings
The Terra et Casa Foundation, established in 1959, has set itself the task of developing and maintaining a high-quality property portfolio, making housing available primarily to the employees of organisations involved in the activities of Geneva as an international centre. With its actions and expertise, the Foundation facilitates the integration of Geneva’s international residents and works to strengthen the State of Geneva as a centre of global governance and competence.
