Construction work begins on Haslirainpark project in Buchrain (LU)

We're off! Construction on the Haslirainpark project has commenced. The ground-breaking ceremony for the future residential development was held today. Following a lengthy period of planning work, this marks the start of the implementation phase, which is due for completion by spring 2021. In addition to top-quality accommodation, the future occupants of the Haslirainpark apartments can also look forward to having peaceful countryside right at their doorstep.

The symbolic ground-breaking ceremony marked the official start of construction on the Haslirainpark project. The ceremony was attended by representatives of Steiner Investment Fondation (which owns the land for the projected owner-occupied apartments) and Suva (owner of the rental units) as well as by Steiner AG, the "total" (design-and-build) contractor that is developing and executing the project.

Located on the outskirts of the peaceful village of Buchrain at the heart of the fast-growing economic region of Lucerne/Zug, the Haslirainpark residential development comprising six attractive apartment buildings is being spearheaded by Steiner AG. Blending harmoniously into the gently sloping site, the project – which features high-class architecture – ideally combines urban conveniences with a rural setting. Residents at Haslirainpark returning home from a hard day's work can look forward to the sound of birdsong and rustling leaves: they can jog around the fitness trail or take a stroll along the banks of the Reuss.

A dream of rural life come true
Idyllically situated in Perlen/Buchrain – a family-friendly recreational zone between the Reuss and the Rontal valley in Canton Lucerne – Haslirainpark offers exclusive living comfort at a reasonable price. Here young families, couples and single people can realise their dream of owning their own home or renting an attractive apartment. The varied mix of accommodation ranges from 2 1/2 to 5 1/2-room flats, with or without their own garden. A combination of high-quality materials and unconventional floor plans with open-plan kitchens will help create a carefree ambience. The new occupants should be able to move in by spring 2021.

A varied history
Buchrain can look back on a varied past, with more than 1000 years of recorded history. Having been located on one of Switzerland's chief trading routes in the Late Middle Ages, Buchrain was transformed into a centre of industry in the 19th century. Factories came and went. Some lived on, however, and continued to grow – such as the Perlen paper mill. Haslirainpark is situated on a plot formerly owned by this company. Education was also writ large at Buchrain: records show that it was the location of one of the canton's oldest village schools. The process of transformation by no means finished with industrialisation: today Perlen is a beautiful area to live in, with idyllic countryside at its doorstep.
